LinkedIn changes privacy, opts 100 million people into social advertisements in a blog
In a blog post and click of a button, 100 million LinkedIn users are now unknowingly promoting any LinkedIn advertise or company they are following.
If you want to change your settings and protect your privacy - follow these simple steps to OPT-OUT:
- Hover over your username in the uper right hand corner
- Go to "Settings" page
- Then "Account" tab at the bottom of the page
- Click "Managed Social Advertising"
- Check or uncheck the box to opt-in or opt-out depending on your preference
There are other settings in this area to opt-in/out of email notifications from companies you are following as well. This is something you may be interested in receiving if you are following a company.
