LinkedIn changes privacy, opts 100 million people into social advertisements in a blog

In a blog post and click of a button, 100 million LinkedIn users are now unknowingly promoting any LinkedIn advertise or company they are following.

If you want to change your settings and protect your privacy - follow these simple steps to OPT-OUT:

1. Hover over your username in the uper right hand corner
2. Go to "Settings" page
3. Then "Account" tab at the bottom of the page
4. Click "Managed Social Advertising"
5. Check or uncheck the box to opt-in or opt-out depending on your preference

There are other settings in this area to opt-in/out of email notifications from companies you are following as well. This is something you may be interested in receiving if you are following a company.
